Gorla Maggiore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Ciaccia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 12 played minutes Gorla Maggiore got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Costa. Eraldo Lucidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cancello's goalkeeper Cosimo Alberico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 27 minutes, Eraldo Lucidi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gorla Maggiore and the Cancello players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gorla Maggiore's Eraldo Lucidi got a free kick in the 27th minute. Antonello Colle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alessio Romagnoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eraldo Lucidi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Cosimo Alberico made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Gorla Maggiore's Ercole Proietti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cosimo Alberico. Cosimo Alberico yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After having played for 46 minutes, Ercole Proietti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gorla Maggiore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Proietti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Ercole Proietti made the kick off in the second half. If Antonello Colle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eraldo Lucidi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Cosimo Alberico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulvio Presutti got free with Alessio Romagnoli in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the game, Fulvio Presutti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alessio Romagnoli. Fulvio Presutti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Antonello Colle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cancello's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonello Colle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessio Romagnoli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eraldo Lucidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Alberico having to interfere. Eraldo Lucidi struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Cosimo Alberico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorla Maggiore. Gorla Maggiore's Ercole Proietti got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Antonello Colle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Cancello's Fulvio Presutti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessio Romagnoli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alessio Romagnoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Colle in the 87th minute of play. Fabiano Ciaccia kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Lucidi in the 96th minute of play forced Cancello's goalkeeper Cosimo Alberico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cancello players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Gorla Maggiore from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
