Antonio Bruno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Guidone, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Bianco Di Domenico scored 1-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Fiori, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Emiliano Ascoli made the kick off in the second half. Angelo Fiori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bianco Di Domenico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Fiori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bianco Di Domenico's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Cesano Boscone defense, Bruno Di Maio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Fiori. The Cesano Boscone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Fiori should have stopped the shot. If Bianco Di Domenico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Mannella during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Bianco Di Domenico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cesano Boscone's zone, Bianco Di Domenico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Fiori came out of the goal and Bianco Di Domenico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Casine were the better team. Casine's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
