The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco De Lorenzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, San Bartolomeo's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Cirone came free, but Franco De Lorenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carter Montanari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Beppe Speranza notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of San Bartolomeo's Franco De Lorenzi. Franco De Lorenzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Beppe Speranza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Franco De Lorenzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Achille Di Pietro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amedeo Cirone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amedeo Cirone to make the kick off. Domenico Madonna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carter Montanari in the 51st minute. Franco De Lorenzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amedeo Cirone went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Cirone in the 58th minute of play forced San Bartolomeo's goalkeeper Franco De Lorenzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Ponte Abbadesse defense, Donato Pezzella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domenico Madonna. The Ponte Abbadesse fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domenico Madonna should have stopped the shot. If Beppe Speranza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in San Bartolomeo's zone, Amedeo Cirone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco De Lorenzi came out of the goal and Amedeo Cirone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Cirone in the 73rd minute of play forced San Bartolomeo's goalkeeper Franco De Lorenzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amedeo Cirone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco De Lorenzi having to interfere. If Beppe Speranza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to San Bartolomeo getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Camillo De Feo hit a great ball. Donato Pezzella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Madonna having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Ponte Abbadesse players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
