Beppe Speranza scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bianco Proietti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberigo Esposito during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amedeo Cirone to make the kick off. Florian Pedroni might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domenico Madonna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
