Federico Laudadio came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fausto Del Vecchio could save by the left post. Ferruccio Franceschini charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferruccio Franceschini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Pinti to make the kick off. When Aldo Alfieri fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ponte Abbadesse's protests and gave Aldo Alfieri a yellow card for diving instead. Alfredo Pinti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Nola having to interfere. The supporters of Ponte Abbadesse booed when Oneglia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico De Palma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Pinti in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberigo Nola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Federico Laudadio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ponte Abbadesse booed when Oneglia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camillo Di Fazio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Del Vecchio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Facchetti in the 71st minute of play. Alberigo Nola made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Edoardo Bearzot sent off a good shot on target. Ponte Abbadesse's Fausto Del Vecchio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Laudadio in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ponte Abbadesse's zone, Federico Laudadio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Del Vecchio came out of the goal and Federico Laudadio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emiliano Rapone hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Edoardo Bearzot might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberigo Nola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edoardo Bearzot ran back to his position shaking his head. After 93 played minutes Alfredo Pinti rounded Oneglia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
