If Fedele Di Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Soprabolzano FC's Alfredo Damiani got a free kick in the 6th minute. Cinecitta's Carter Pinti couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Soprabolzano FC. In the 10th minute Fedele Di Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Berardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Cinecitta's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Capone came free, but Ernesto Zisser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fedele Di Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domenico Parente hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to Soprabolzano FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Alfredo Damiani hit a great ball. Donato Cerasoli took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Berardo. Ernesto Berardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domenico Guerrini got free with Ernesto Zisser in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donato Cerasoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ernesto Berardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Berardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Cerasoli in the 39th minute of play. Donato Cerasoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Domenico Guerrini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cinecitta's Emiliano Michelini got a free kick in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Cerasoli in the 46th minute of play forced Soprabolzano FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Berardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fedele Di Massa was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Domenico Guerrini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Cinecitta's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Guerrini came free, but Ernesto Zisser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domenico Guerrini struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ernesto Zisser didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soprabolzano FC. In the 88th minute Domenico Guerrini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Zisser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Donato Cerasoli came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Cinecitta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Cerasoli couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute Fedele Di Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Berardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
