The referee showed Alberto De Cristofaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alberto De Cristofaro kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Diego Casadei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trentola's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Casadei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colonnata's Attilio Circelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Colaussi in the 23rd minute of play. Alberto Di Lorenzo struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Attilio Circelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trentola. Trentola's Achille Corvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Ceccarelli in the 28th minute of play. Attilio Circelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea Colaussi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrea Colaussi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Circelli having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Enzo Zinni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colonnata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trentola the free kick. After 35 played minutes Colonnata got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Zinni. Attilio Circelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Colaussi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Diego Casadei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Circelli having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franco Ceccarelli to make the kick off. The supporters of Colonnata booed when Trentola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Di Lorenzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Trentola's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dave Fortuna was slow to take the kick. During this time Colonnata's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Alberto De Cristofaro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Achille Corvo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Frank Laudadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 73 minutes, Franco Ceccarelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colonnata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franco Ceccarelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Attilio Circelli was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ercole Massa. Achille Corvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Ceccarelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Casadei in the 81st minute of play forced Colonnata's goalkeeper Attilio Circelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
