The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ermanno Valeri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Enzo Di Carlos short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Alvise Bonsignore to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Fizzonasco AFC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Carmine Genovese hit a great ball. Emiliano Cieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anfilogino Damiani kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 19 minutes of play, Rescaldina AFC's Emiliano Cieri made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ettore Guarrera was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermanno Valeri in the 24th minute of play forced Rescaldina AFC's goalkeeper Alvise Bonsignore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fizzonasco AFC's Ermanno Valeri in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvise Bonsignore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute of the match Andrea Pavlu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ettore Guarrera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Emilio Combi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvise Bonsignore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermanno Valeri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emiliano Cieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ettore Guarrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emilio Combi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Guarrera having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Franco Di Mario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rescaldina AFC and the Fizzonasco AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rescaldina AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Franco Di Mario hit a great ball. If Ermanno Valeri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermanno Valeri made a kick off. Ciccio Tedeschi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvise Bonsignore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermanno Valeri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ermanno Valeri took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvise Bonsignore. Alvise Bonsignore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 81 minutes into the match, Rescaldina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Di Carlo came free, but Alvise Bonsignore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Frank Costantino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ermanno Valeri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Alvise Bonsignore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Ermanno Valeri put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alvise Bonsignore. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rescaldina AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fizzonasco AFC.
