After having played for 3 minutes, Fulvio Ballerini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulvio Ballerini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beppe Mattei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute, Emanuele Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mambrotta's Enrico Delle Donne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Mattei in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Mambrotta's goalkeeper Enrico Delle Donne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fulvio Ballerini. Federico Fabrizi hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex De Nicola during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mambrotta booed when Salona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex De Nicola didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Mambrotta fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Mambrotta's Cesare Polimeno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Salona FC booed when Mambrotta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Palermo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Fulvio Ballerini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salona FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Cesare Polimeno took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anthony Mirto. Anthony Mirto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Enrico Delle Donne made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Fulvio Ballerini sent off a good shot on target. The Salona FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mambrotta were winning 1-4.

In the 55thth minute of the game Beppe Mattei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mambrotta's Enrico Delle Donne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ciro Laudadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd match minute, Mambrotta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Piacente to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Laudadio in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anthony Mirto saved Salona FC from getting behind. In the 69th match minute, Salona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Senatore to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd match minute, Salona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuele Villa to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Salona FC's Anthony Mirto got control of the ball when Cesare Polimeno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciro Laudadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesare Polimeno struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Anthony Mirto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mambrotta. Cesare Polimeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Mirto having to interfere. When Beppe Mattei came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Salona FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beppe Mattei couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Mambrotta's Federico Fabrizi got a free kick in the 86th minute. Fulvio Ballerini struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Enrico Delle Donne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salona FC. Mambrotta's Enrico Delle Donne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Mattei in the 95th minute of play. The Mambrotta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mambrotta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
