Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aldo Topatigh started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Anfilogino Forte sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Borgo Vercelli's Corrado Sabatino didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Borgo Vercelli's zone, Cristiano Faiella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corrado Sabatino came out of the goal and Cristiano Faiella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corrado Sabatino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Faiella in the 10th minute of the match. Cristiano Faiella kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Carmine Gismondi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Topatigh in the 22nd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Copparo's goalkeeper Carmine Gismondi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciccio Di Cola. Ciccio Di Cola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Eugenio De Cesaris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Corrado Sabatino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ciccio Di Cola fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgo Vercelli's protests and gave Ciccio Di Cola a yellow card for diving instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugenio De Cesaris was the one to do the kick off. When Ciccio Di Cola came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Borgo Vercelli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciccio Di Cola couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute, Aldo Topatigh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th match minute, Borgo Vercelli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciccio Di Cola to maneuver through the defense. Copparo's Emanuele Checchia got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Borgo Vercelli's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Emanuele Checchia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 69th minute, Eugenio De Cesaris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corrado Sabatino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Emanuele Checchia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carmine Gismondi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Topatigh, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Aldo Topatigh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Borgo Vercelli booed when Copparo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo Zuccarini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Copparo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
