Comunardo Malatesta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Petito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Santa Nicola AFC's Eugenio Coletti got a free kick in the 17th minute. Lazzate's Flavio Demaria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Di Michele in the 20th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Emilio Bassani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lazzate's Flavio Demaria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Beppe Santilli hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Emilio Bassani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Demaria having to interfere. Emilio Bassani struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Flavio Demaria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Nicola AFC. In the 36th minute, Comunardo Malatesta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Malatesta in the 57th minute of play forced Santa Nicola AFC's goalkeeper Alberto Petito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Coletti charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugenio Coletti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Comunardo Malatesta might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Petito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Comunardo Malatesta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Emanuele Di Michele left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Nicola AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 71 minutes into the match, Lazzate's Comunardo Malatesta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Petito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd match minute, Lazzate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Iacovone to maneuver through the defense. In the 99th play minute Emilio Bassani came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Flavio Demaria. 0-3. Chants of Santa Nicola AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Lazzate had held the ball for most of the match.
