Adriano Di Piazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Canzano's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. After 6 played minutes Garofolo FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrico Cimino. 1-0 became the score in the 11th minute when Cristoforo Niccolai elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Adriano Di Piazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Canzano, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 20 minutes, Carter Buffone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bardassano and the Garofolo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Carter Buffone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Raimondi got free with Concetto Giandomenico in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Alvaro Colelli fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garofolo FC's protests and gave Alvaro Colelli a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Garofolo FC's Alvaro Colelli got a free kick in the 30th minute. Adriano Di Piazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Canzano, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Garofolo FC booed when Bardassano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Iacovone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Mazzocco, 49 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugenio Canzano was the one to do the kick off. Adriano Di Piazza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrea Pani in the 54th minute. Cristiano Raimondi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garofolo FC's Adriano Di Piazza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Garofolo FC from getting a goal against them. Flavio Abbagnale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Adriano Di Piazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Abbagnale succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 65th playminute. Flavio Abbagnale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Aldo Iacovone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 73 minutes, Cristiano Raimondi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garofolo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Raimondi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Raimondi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Concetto Giandomenico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Canzano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Di Piazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Carlo Gelsomini's late challenge caught a Bardassano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlo Gelsomini helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Garofolo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! Bardassano's Eugenio Canzano got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugenio Canzano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Di Piazza having to interfere. Flavio Abbagnale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Niccolai in the 98th minute of play forced Bardassano's goalkeeper Concetto Giandomenico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Iacovone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Di Piazza having to interfere.
