After a rather tough play, Gualdo AFC's Aldo Malatesta got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Gualdo AFC's Francesco Grandis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Addario in the 6th minute of play. Alessio Palombi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fedele Fantauzzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Fabiano Ferraresi kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Francesco Grandis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Bozzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Alessandro Addario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Grandis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessio Palombi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Fantauzzi in the 32nd minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fedele Fantauzzi made a kick off. Piuma's Alessandro Addario managed to work through Gualdo AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alessandro Addario dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Ettore Bozzo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ettore Bozzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enzo Albertini charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Albertini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 57 minutes into the game, one of Gualdo AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 59 minutes, Piuma's Cristoforo Di Domenico got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Francesco Grandis. Gualdo AFC's Beppe Fabiani got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ettore Bozzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aldo Malatesta's late challenge caught a Piuma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Piuma booed when Gualdo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ettore De Vito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ettore Bozzo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Francesco Grandis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piuma. 84 minutes into the match, Gualdo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Addario came free, but Francesco Grandis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ettore Bozzos short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Francesco Grandis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alessandro Addario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Gualdo AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Piuma were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
