Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claudio Banana started the match with the kick off. Claudio Banana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Porta having to interfere. If Claudio Banana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, Canizzano's Fortunato Cassone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristiano Porta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Russi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Banana came free, but Cristiano Porta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Claudio Banana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Canizzano's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Topatigh came free, but Edoardo De Vecchis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Fortunato Cassone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Porta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Banana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Porta having to interfere. Flavio Rava fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Porta having to interfere. With his leg Edoardo De Vecchis managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Russi AFC's Beppe Cara fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Canizzano's Edoardo De Vecchis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Topatigh in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Russi AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Flavio Rava fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Canizzano booed when Russi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fortunato Pedrelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Claudio Banana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canizzano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Banana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arrigo Di Lello during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Russi AFC booed when Canizzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arrigo Di Lello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fortunato Cassone struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Cristiano Porta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canizzano. Beppe Cara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Edoardo De Vecchis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beppe Cara in the 76th minute of play forced Canizzano's goalkeeper Edoardo De Vecchis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Claudio Banana came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Canizzano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Banana couldn't finish the play. Canizzano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
