The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Anfilogino Giampietro came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the San Zaccaria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anfilogino Giampietro couldn't finish the play. If Anfilogino Giampietro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Damiano Pierdomenico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vigonza's Carmine Valerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Margoni in the 8th minute of play. Ennio Schiavoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Pascucci in the 9th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Alberto Margoni recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carmine Valerio. Alberto Margoni showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Edmondo Di Camillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmine Valerio having to interfere. Carmine Valerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Margoni in the 20th minute of the match. When Edmondo Di Camillo came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the San Zaccaria FC fans jumped to their feet. Ennio Schiavoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmondo Schirone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Amedeo Chiarelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Zaccaria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vigonza the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of San Zaccaria FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vigonza:s goal. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Vigonza. Alberigo Franceschini stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ennio Schiavoni. 1-1. Vigonza's Edmondo Schirone got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ennio Schiavoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmondo Schirone in the 37th minute of the match. Ennio Schiavoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Pascucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Alberto Margoni made the kick off in the second half. When Vigonza's Edmondo Schirone in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Carmine Valerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Vigonza getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Damiano Pierdomenico hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmondo Schirone in the 67th minute of play forced San Zaccaria FC's goalkeeper Ennio Schiavoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Edmondo Di Camillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute, Alvise Trabucco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Margoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Carmine Valerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vigonza's goalkeeper Carmine Valerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edmondo Di Camillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of San Zaccaria FC booed when Vigonza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Pierdomenico didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 minutes of play Vigonza's Damiano Pierdomenico was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Vigonza getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Damiano Pierdomenico hit a great ball. Vigonza's Carmine Valerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Margoni in the 90th minute of play. When Anfilogino Giampietro fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Zaccaria FC's protests and gave Anfilogino Giampietro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Anfilogino Giampietro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vigonza's Augusto Pascucci got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
