If Enzo Pomponio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enzo Pomponio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Albignasego's Ermanno Guerra got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 14th minute, Donato Desiderio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bianco Testi kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarmeola AFC's goalkeeper Anfilogino Alonzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anfilogino Alonzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Pomponio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enzo Pomponio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Anfilogino Alonzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Augusto Verna notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sarmeola AFC's Anfilogino Alonzi. Anfilogino Alonzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Augusto Verna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Enzo Pomponio made a precise shot to the right of Anfilogino Alonzi. Sarmeola AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 37 played minutes Sarmeola AFC got a freekick which was hit by Edoardo Marrone. Enzo Pomponio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Alonzi having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Albignasego:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sarmeola AFC:s goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciccio Martano to strike the kick off in the second half. Albignasego's Davide Contaldi got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Augusto Verna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Verna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Anfilogino Alonzi made a huge save. Enzo Pomponio struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Anfilogino Alonzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albignasego. In the 65th minute Ciccio Martano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Baresi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domenico Baresi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Guidone, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 minutes, Alberigo Palladino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albignasego and the Sarmeola AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alberigo Palladino kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Bianco Testi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Verna in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anfilogino Alonzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Albignasego's zone, Ercole Guidone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domenico Baresi came out of the goal and Ercole Guidone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Verna charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Verna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Augusto Verna kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ciccio Martano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domenico Baresi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Domenico Baresi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Desiderio went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 92nd minute Ercole Guidone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Baresi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Albignasego walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
