Anthony Bartolucci's late challenge caught a Larghetto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony Bartolucci helped the player get up and apologised. Anthony Bartolucci hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Casaccia AFC defense, Camillo Camerlengo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesare Bardella. The Casaccia AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesare Bardella should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Casaccia AFC's Anthony Bartolucci got a free kick in the 12th minute. The audience was convinced that Aldo Mei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesare Bardella was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Larghetto's Dennis Tacconelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Scarpa in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Casaccia AFC were awarded a corner. Bruno Di Battista went to the cornerflag to take it. Casaccia AFC's Bruno Di Battista was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dennis Tacconelli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Anthony Bartolucci might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Tacconelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anthony Bartolucci ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th match minute, Casaccia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Paolucci to maneuver through the defense. When Ermanno Albertini got free in front of the goal in the 29th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Dennis Tacconelli was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Eraldo Alessandrini hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Ermanno Albertini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Tacconelli having to interfere. If Ermanno Albertini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camillo Camerlengo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Bardella having to interfere. Aldo Mei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Bardella having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Arturo Arcangeli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Casaccia AFC and the Larghetto players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Larghetto booed when Casaccia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Arcangeli didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 47th minute of the match Arturo Arcangeli completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arturo Arcangeli a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Casaccia AFC's Arturo Arcangeli got a free kick in the 48th minute.

Casaccia AFC's Ermanno Albertini got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Larghetto's zone, Ermanno Albertini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Tacconelli came out of the goal and Ermanno Albertini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aldo Mei received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cesare Bardella came out and tried to block the shot, but Aldo Mei slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 63rd minute. Camillo Camerlengo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Bardella having to interfere. In the 68th minute Alvaro Fiordelisi suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Anthony Bartolucci got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 70 played minutes Casaccia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Bartolucci. In the 71st minute of the match Carmine Dionisi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesare Bardella showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Di Battista during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Larghetto a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carmine Dionisi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Casaccia AFC's Cesare Bardella. 0-4. Camillo Camerlengo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Larghetto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Larghetto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
