Sgonico's Achille Di Liddo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demetrio Paganelli in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Achille Corvasce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sgonico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Achille Corvasce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damiano Rozzi in the 42nd minute of play forced Ravalle's goalkeeper Antonello Donati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sgonico reached it. Dennis Antognoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonello Donati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damiano Rozzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Achille Corvasce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sgonico's zone, Dennis Antognoni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achille Di Liddo came out of the goal and Dennis Antognoni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Achille Di Liddo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Antognoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Dennis Antognoni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Achille Di Liddo was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Ravalle's Alvise Scacchi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sgonico. Demetrio Paganelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Di Liddo having to interfere. During the 83rd minute of the match Cristiano Pietrini completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cristiano Pietrini a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 84th match minute, Sgonico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Pietrini to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Ravalle's Alvise Scacchi tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Antonello Donati made an important save on a dangerous shot by Achille Corvasce in the 89th minute. When Sgonico's Achille Corvasce, in the 93rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Sgonico. The Sgonico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sgonico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
