Ettore Caccia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 9 minutes, Daniele Palmucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Settimello AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniele Palmucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Balboni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniele Palmucci in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Eraldo Demaria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Settimello AFC the free kick. 19 minutes into the match, Bruno Riccardi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinando Costantino. Settimello AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Riccardi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Settimello AFC's Daniele Palmucci got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Morini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Balboni having to interfere. Bruno Riccardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ferdinando Costantino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Palermo's Ettore Caccia in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Settimello AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Palermo's Bruno Riccardi got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Riccardi struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Ferdinando Costantino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palermo. Arturo Bottone kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Bruno Riccardi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinando Costantino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. If Fabio Morini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ettore Caccia to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Bruno Balboni managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Settimello AFC's Daniele Palmucci fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Fabio Morini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Daniele Palmucci made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Balboni. Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Bianco Manna's late challenge caught a Settimello AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bianco Manna helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Bianco Manna got a free kick in the 68th minute. Settimello AFC's Dennis Di Silvio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Palermo. Fabio Morini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniele Palmucci got free with Bruno Balboni in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Riccardi in the 81st minute of play forced Settimello AFC's goalkeeper Ferdinando Costantino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ettore Caccia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Nasuti to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Morini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Balboni having to interfere. Federico Grifoni kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
