After a rather tough play, Bari FC's Fulvio De Filippo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Dino Genovesi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermanno Cala in the 6th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Flavio Bardella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bari FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Bardella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Lusi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bianco Ascoli's late challenge caught a Bari FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bianco Ascoli helped the player get up and apologised. Bianco Ascoli hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Flavio Bardella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermanno Cala in the 20th minute of play forced Bari FC's goalkeeper Dino Genovesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermanno Cala struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Dino Genovesi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poetto AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Martorella in the 29th minute of play forced Bari FC's goalkeeper Dino Genovesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bari FC's zone, Ermanno Cala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Genovesi came out of the goal and Ermanno Cala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Bardella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Adriano Lusi made a huge save. After having played for 45 minutes, Fabiano Mattioli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Mattioli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabiano Mattioli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Lusi having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After having played for 52 minutes, Flavio Bardella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Bardella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fabiano Mattioli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Daniele Martorella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dino Genovesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniele Martorella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano Lusi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Bardella in the 64th minute of play. If Daniele Martorella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute Flavio Bardella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Lusi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Bari FC's goalkeeper Dino Genovesi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermanno Cala. Fabiano Mattioli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Adriano Lusi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Bardella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poetto AFC's goalkeeper Adriano Lusi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniele Martorella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Dino Genovesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniele Martorella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Poetto AFC's Ermanno Cala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dino Genovesi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bari FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
