The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adriano Cavallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Massaro having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Selbagnone AFC's Adriano Cavallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Massaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eraldo Bonsignore hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Elia Sammartino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. In the 48thth minute of the game Adriano Cavallo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ladino's Frank Massaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elia Sammartino made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Adriano Cavallo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ladino's Frank Massaro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Massaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Cavallo in the 60th minute. In the 71st minute, Cesare De Grandis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Selbagnone AFC's goalkeeper Amedeo Balboni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Selbagnone AFC booed when Ladino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Ferrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Massaro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Anfilogino Persia. Adriano Cavallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Frank Massaro made a huge save. Antonello Miccoli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Massaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Ladino supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Selbagnone AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Selbagnone AFC.
