If Ercole Genovese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute Antonello Andreoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felice Suriani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Puce charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Puce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Enzo Puce kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Antonello Andreoli was extremely unlucky when he, in the 16th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Anfilogino Bosso charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anfilogino Bosso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Anfilogino Bosso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Frank Balestra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ercole Genovese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edmondo Iacomini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ciro Sacchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmondo Iacomini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Sacchi having to interfere. If Edmondo Iacomini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Villaricca FC's zone, Edmondo Iacomini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Sacchi came out of the goal and Edmondo Iacomini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute Edmondo Iacomini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Sacchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ercole Genovese was the one to do the kick off. Antonello Andreoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Sacchi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ercole Genovese showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 56 minute of play. Antonello Andreoli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Balestra scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felice Suriani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute Antonello Andreoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felice Suriani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Balestra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Felice Suriani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frank Balestra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76th play minutes Frank Balestra shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Felice Suriani and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Montesanto AFC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Augusto Berardinelli hit a great ball. Elia Oberrauch was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Felice Suriani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Andreoli in the 83rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Antonello Andreoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villaricca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonello Andreoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felice Suriani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonello Andreoli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Montesanto AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Balestra came free, but Felice Suriani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Montesanto AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villaricca FC.
