After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Frank Di Giuseppe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Settebagni AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Di Giuseppe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Mercuri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Di Giuseppe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Mercuri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Novellara FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Felice Maranzano hit a great ball. Settebagni AFC's Donato Napoleoni got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Di Giuseppe in the 11th minute of play forced Novellara FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Mercuri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Andrea Conte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Di Cesare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Giolo charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dave Giolo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Settebagni AFC's Dave Giolo got a free kick in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dino Savoia during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Novellara FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Dino Savoia hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Dino Savoia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donato Napoleoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alfredo Mercuri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Novellara FC's Dino Savoia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Di Cesare made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Dino Savoia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andrea Conte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Settebagni AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Savoia came free, but Alex Di Cesare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Donato Napoleoni fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.

If Dino Savoia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Mercuri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Di Giuseppe in the 67th minute of play. Frank Di Giuseppe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Mercuri having to interfere. Alfredo Mercuri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Di Giuseppe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Novellara FC's Andrea Conte got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dino Savoia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Di Cesare having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dino Savoia in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Di Cesare prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frank Di Giuseppe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Alfredo Mercuri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Mercuri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Napoleoni in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Andrea Conte could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Alex Di Cesare however easily saved by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Novellara FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
