Latina Scalo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferdinando Giannico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 25 played minutes Torretta FC got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Melfi. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Torretta FC's goalkeeper Alfonso Ruzzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Torretta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Antonioni came free, but Alfonso Ruzzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Ruzzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Marchetti in the 38th minute. Camillo Antonioni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Ruzzi having to interfere. Bruno Marchetti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfonso Ruzzi having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Alfonso Ruzzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Marchetti in the 51st minute of the match. In the 51st minute, one of Torretta FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Torretta FC. The referee gave Latina Scalo FC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The referee ignored Torretta FC's protests and gave Christian Berardinelli a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes Torretta FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Berardinelli.
