The referee gave Vlagierano AFC a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fedele Catena, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pinarella AFC's Bernardo Ceccon. 0-1. A collision led to Vlagierano AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Beppe Scannella hit a great ball. In the 18th match minute, Pinarella AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Alba to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Ceccon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beppe Scannella's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute Alfredo Marchetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Ceccon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Pascali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Beppe Nicolai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beppe Nicolai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Pascali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vlagierano AFC's Beppe Nicolai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Vlagierano AFC from getting a goal against them. Donato Pascali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Nicolai having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beppe Scannella to strike the kick off in the second half. When Beppe Scannella came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Vlagierano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beppe Scannella couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Vlagierano AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ciro Balboni hit a great ball. Pinarella AFC's Donato Pascali got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vlagierano AFC's Beppe Nicolai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Pascali in the 60th minute of play. Donato Pascali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Beppe Nicolai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute of the match, Beppe Scannella tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bernardo Ceccon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Beppe Nicolai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Minichiello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Pinarella AFC defense, Ermanno Fiordelisi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Ceccon. The Pinarella AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Ceccon should have stopped the shot. Beppe Scannella struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Bernardo Ceccon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vlagierano AFC. Bernardo Ceccon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beppe Scannella in the 91st minute of play. Anfilogino Lattanzio's late challenge caught a Vlagierano AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anfilogino Lattanzio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Anfilogino Lattanzio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Vlagierano AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vlagierano AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
