Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ercole Parente got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Novare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Fioriti came free, but Alvaro Furia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvise Taranto might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Furia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvise Taranto ran back to his position shaking his head. Novare FC's Alvaro Furia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvise Taranto in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Amedeo Brunetta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ettore Fioriti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvaro Furia having to make a save. If Alvise Taranto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Di Marino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Fulvio Gallucci skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Palidoro FC's Camillo Mei got a free kick in the 20th minute. Alvise Taranto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achille Di Marino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fulvio Gallucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Palidoro FC booed when Novare FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amedeo Brunetta didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Taranto in the 37th minute of play forced Novare FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Furia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ercole Parente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Achille Di Marino struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Fulvio Gallucci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Novare FC. After 41 minutes, Camillo Mei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palidoro FC and the Novare FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Camillo Mei hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Ettore Fioriti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Furia having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Novare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alvise Taranto came free, but Alvaro Furia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ercole Parente might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulvio Gallucci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ercole Parente ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th play minute Achille Di Marino came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fulvio Gallucci. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Eugenio Nero was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 59 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, one of Palidoro FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Palidoro FC. Alvaro Furia made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Ettore Fioriti sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 70 minutes, Ercole Parente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novare FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Parente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Palidoro FC booed when Novare FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Cavanna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Novare FC's zone, Ettore Fioriti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Furia came out of the goal and Ettore Fioriti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ettore Fioriti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Furia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Novare FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Petrella. Alvaro Furia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ettore Fioriti in the 81st minute. Antonio Urbani's late challenge caught a Novare FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Urbani helped the player get up and apologised. Amedeo Benvenuto, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Ercole Parente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Camillo Mei got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dave Graziani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Alvaro Furia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ettore Fioriti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Alvaro Furia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Palidoro FC's Ettore Fioriti got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
