Ermanno Antonioni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ciro Carlini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Giordano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Carmine Scudieri made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Flavio Primavera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ponte Abbadesse FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 20th minute, Alberigo Ritacco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ermanno Antonioni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Carlini having to interfere. When Ponte Abbadesse FC's Ermanno Antonioni in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borgomagno FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Ponte Abbadesse FC booed when Borgomagno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Vespa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Borgomagno FC's Ciro Carlini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermanno Antonioni in the 27th minute of play. Ciro Carlini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermanno Antonioni in the 32nd minute of play. If Ermanno Antonioni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Ponte Abbadesse FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Ritacco came free, but Carmine Scudieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberigo Ritacco made a kick off. After some careless play in the Ponte Abbadesse FC defense, Alberigo Ritacco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carmine Scudieri. The Ponte Abbadesse FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carmine Scudieri should have stopped the shot. Alberigo Ritacco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmine Scudieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Ritacco in the 58th minute of play. Ciro Carlini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermanno Antonioni in the 63rd minute of play. Flavio Primavera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Primavera got free with Ciro Carlini in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 69 played minutes Borgomagno FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Vespa. When Ermanno Antonioni came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ponte Abbadesse FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ermanno Antonioni couldn't finish the play. Flavio Primavera struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Flavio Primavera in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ciro Carlini, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Flavio Primavera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Borgomagno FC's Ciro Carlini got control of the ball when Flavio Primavera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carmine Scudieri came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Borgomagno FC's Alfonso Giordano. But to his dismay, Alfonso Giordano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Flavio Primavera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ciro Carlini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Borgomagno FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ponte Abbadesse FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
