Francesco Lalli hit a great ball. In the 16thth minute of the game Demetrio Margoni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varlungo AFC's Amerigo Giammarino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amerigo Giammarino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Lepre, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Cristiano Lepre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmondo Scandella during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ermanno Miccoli, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Demetrio Margoni to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Vimodrone AFC's zone, Cristoforo Di Muzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Marzoli came out of the goal and Cristoforo Di Muzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alvise Garofalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alvise Garofalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Marzoli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Varlungo AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vimodrone AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
