Fulvio Checchia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alberigo Pilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Cirulli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberigo Pilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Runco fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! 0-2 came through a penalty shot after 58 played minutes, when Collegara:s Comunardo Villa calmly waited for Runco:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. 61 minutes into the game, Runco's Ettore Vitelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Marzulli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulvio Checchia in the 67th minute of play forced Runco's goalkeeper Alberigo Pilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ettore Vitelli came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Runco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ettore Vitelli couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Ettore Vitelli notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Collegara's Alvaro Marzulli. Alvaro Marzulli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Felice Bellucci made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Marzulli. With a little luck, Runco's Alberigo Pilla got control of the ball when Dave Cirulli tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulvio Checchia in the 97th minute of play forced Runco's goalkeeper Alberigo Pilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberigo Pilla made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Fulvio Checchia sent off a good shot on target.
