The supporters of Vaneze booed when Rosaguta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ennio Caligaris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With an all-out effort, Vaneze's Ferdinando Mara threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Angelo Santarelli, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Emilio Persia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinando Petrucci kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 89 minutes, Beppe Verdecchia mouthed his way into the referee's book.
