If Camillo Damiani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Dave Ramoser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mira Porte's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Ramoser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Cruciani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dino Caponera got free with Cristiano Cruciani in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dino Caponera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Cruciani having to interfere. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arese's goalkeeper Cristiano Cruciani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Amos Malvezzi came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Arese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Malvezzi couldn't finish the play. If Amos Malvezzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Dino Caponera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mira Porte's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Caponera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Cruciani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino Caponera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Ramoser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cristiano Cruciani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Caponera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Cruciani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Dino Caponera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Cruciani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Camillo Damiani struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Dino Diana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arese. 47 minutes into the game, Dino Caponera recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristiano Cruciani. Dino Caponera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Arese's zone, Dino Caponera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Cruciani came out of the goal and Dino Caponera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Arese's Amos Malvezzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dino Diana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 65 minutes, Bruno Trasatti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mira Porte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Trasatti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mira Porte's Dino Diana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Malvezzi in the 74th minute of play. Dave Ramoser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Cristiano Cruciani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Diana was a little too slow when Amos Malvezzi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 2-1. If Amos Malvezzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th match minute, Mira Porte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Trasatti to maneuver through the defense. Dino Diana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Malvezzi in the 90th minute of play. Bruno Trasatti's late challenge caught a Arese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Trasatti helped the player get up and apologised. Bruno Trasatti kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Dino Caponera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mira Porte's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
