Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mira Porte's Dino Caponera started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Alessandro Fagnani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Diana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrico Laudadio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Ramoser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11thth minute of the game Alessandro Fagnani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mira Porte's Dino Diana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alessandro Fagnani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mira Porte's Dino Diana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Fagnani in the 29th minute of play. Dino Caponera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Laudadio having to interfere. The supporters of Mira Porte booed when Traversara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Lenci didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Dino Caponera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrico Laudadio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Ramoser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Traversara's Ferruccio Cavallo got a free kick in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Caponera in the 42nd minute of play forced Traversara's goalkeeper Enrico Laudadio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Traversara's Aldo Lenci got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Dave Ramoser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Trasatti during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Mira Porte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Trasatti to maneuver through the defense. Dino Diana came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Traversara's Alberigo Mattei. But to his dismay, Alberigo Mattei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dino Caponera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrico Laudadio having to make a save. Dino Diana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Fagnani in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Alberigo Mattei notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mira Porte's Dino Diana. Dino Diana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute Dino Caponera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Laudadio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dino Diana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Mattei in the 86th minute of the match. Alessandro Fagnani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Traversara's zone, Dino Caponera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrico Laudadio came out of the goal and Dino Caponera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the match, Mira Porte's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Lenci came free, but Dino Diana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
