Anfilogino Melfi came out of the goal and Edoardo Mattioli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonello Di Michele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Alessandrini, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Fabiano Moschetta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonello Di Michele skillfully saved the ball. Carlo Alessandrini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Casciago's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Egger came free, but Antonello Di Michele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Carlo Alessandrini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonello Di Michele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anfilogino Melfi made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Anselmo Rossetti sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute, one of Ravaldino:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ravaldino. In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Casciago. Angelo Guerini stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Anfilogino Melfi. 1-1. Ravaldino's Anfilogino Melfi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Mattioli in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Anselmo Rossetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casciago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Rossetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Florian Di Pietro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ravaldino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Casciago the free kick. Florian Di Pietro hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Edoardo Mattioli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Melfi having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Casciago's Edoardo Mattioli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anfilogino Melfi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniele Egger to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Ferruccio De Leonardis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casciago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferruccio De Leonardis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
