Corrado Giannotti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Amos Pietrantoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Enrico Santoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Enrico Silvi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catena AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrico Silvi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amos Pietrantoni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Seveso's Amos Pietrantoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corrado Giannotti in the 41st minute of play. Anthony Travaglini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Concetto Andreoli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Anthony Travaglini's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Concetto Andreoli firmly grabbed it by the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corrado Giannotti couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes in the game, Corrado Giannotti fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Amos Pietrantoni having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Seveso's goalkeeper Amos Pietrantoni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrico Silvi. Corrado Giannotti's late challenge caught a Seveso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
