Amerigo Sasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Cinalli having to interfere. Biagio Costantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pievequinta FC's Alvaro Di Sante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Pievequinta FC from getting a goal against them. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Biagio Costantini to strike the kick off in the second half. When Comunardo Riva fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pievequinta FC's protests and gave Comunardo Riva a yellow card for diving instead. Comunardo Riva kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Domenico Magliocco was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pievequinta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Massimo the free kick.
