Aldo Della Torre scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvaro Di Sante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio Scirea during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alvaro Di Sante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Della Torre's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Elia Azzolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Di Sante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Pievequinta FC's Alvaro Di Sante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elia Azzolina in the 14th minute of play. Francesco Di Gregorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Sasso in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Cortesano getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alexander Tornese hit a great ball. If Amerigo Sasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldo Della Torre took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvaro Di Sante. Alvaro Di Sante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 31 minutes into the game, Elia Azzolina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Alvaro Di Sante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Amerigo Sasso came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Pievequinta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amerigo Sasso couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the last second Alvaro Di Sante throw himself and got hold of the ball when Elia Azzolina in the 55thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 60 minutes into the game, Ermanno Di Nino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pievequinta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cortesano the free kick. After 60 played minutes Pievequinta FC got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Di Nino. Amerigo Marzo succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Pievequinta FC's Emilio Scirea got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Emilio Scirea off the ground. Emilio Scirea kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Pievequinta FC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Balzani. Amerigo Sasso hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes, Filippo Valletta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cortesano and the Pievequinta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Cortesano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Valletta to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Di Sante made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Aldo Della Torre sent off a good shot on target. Alvaro Di Sante didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cortesano's Elia Azzolina shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-4 in the ordered_time% minute. 93 minutes into the match, Pievequinta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Azzolina came free, but Alvaro Di Sante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes in the game, Elia Azzolina dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pievequinta FC! The referee gave Cortesano a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cristoforo Del Papa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pievequinta FC's Alvaro Di Sante. 1-5. The Cortesano players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
