Cristoforo Celli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Amedeo Prisco made a huge save. In the 23rd minute, Anfilogino Salerni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some careless play in the Ontignano AFC defense, Cristoforo Celli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amedeo Prisco. The Ontignano AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amedeo Prisco should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Galante was the one to do the kick off. If Cristoforo Celli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristoforo Celli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amedeo Prisco having to make a save. 64 minutes into the match, Ontignano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoforo Celli came free, but Amedeo Prisco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ontignano AFC's Dario Miccoli got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Ontignano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoforo Celli came free, but Amedeo Prisco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Ontignano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Talamo. After 82 played minutes Ontignano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Staniscia. Ennio Andreoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Marcolongo having to interfere. Biagio Benarrivo charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Biagio Benarrivo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Biagio Benarrivo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. If Ennio Andreoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute of the match Ontignano AFC got a corner. Malandriano AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberto De Tommasi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ontignano AFC's Alberto De Tommasi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aurelio Marcolongo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
