When Beppe Lucidi fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palombina Nuova's protests and gave Beppe Lucidi a yellow card for diving instead. Beppe Lucidi hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match Amerigo Mercuri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Concetto Di Mattia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Concetto Di Mattia made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Cristoforo Celli sent off a good shot on target. Edmondo Damiani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Marcolongo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Borel in the 20th minute of play forced Malandriano AFC's goalkeeper Aurelio Marcolongo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Galante in the 24th minute of play forced Palombina Nuova's goalkeeper Concetto Di Mattia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cristoforo Celli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edmondo Damiani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Marcolongo having to interfere. After some careless play in the Malandriano AFC defense, Edmondo Damiani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Marcolongo. The Malandriano AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Marcolongo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Galante in the 39th minute of play forced Palombina Nuova's goalkeeper Concetto Di Mattia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Galante kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Alex Bardella shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Marcolongo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Augusto Borel made the kick off in the second half. If Florian Granati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Marcolongo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Borel in the 58th minute of play. Edmondo Damiani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Edmondo Damiani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Aurelio Marcolongo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aurelio Marcolongo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino De Paolis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malandriano AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Augusto Borel scored to the left of an out of position Aurelio Marcolongo, making the score, 0-3. Emilio Galante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Di Mattia having to interfere. Concetto Di Mattia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristoforo Celli's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Carlo Gerola hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Palombina Nuova's zone, Emilio Galante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Concetto Di Mattia came out of the goal and Emilio Galante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Palombina Nuova supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Palombina Nuova would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
