If Comunardo Casale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Comunardo Casale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Pontelagoscuro AFC's Alfredo Giannico got a free kick in the 10th minute. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pontelagoscuro AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dave Luciano was slow to take the kick. During this time Pieve Vecchia 's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Pieve Vecchia 's corner Dave Luciano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ettore De Laurentiis quite easily take care of the ball. Alvise Fallito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore De Laurentiis having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Corrado Cannavacciuolo during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pontelagoscuro AFC's Corrado Cannavacciuolo got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 27th play minutes Alvise Fallito shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Ettore De Laurentiis and just under the crossbar into goal. A hard shot 32 in the game by Alfonso De Michele from a close distance when the talented Ettore De Laurentiis managed to make a qualified save. Pontelagoscuro AFC's players were relieved. Fabio Palmucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore De Laurentiis having to interfere. Alvise Fallitos short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Ettore De Laurentiis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Fabio Palmucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvise Fallito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciro Pennetta to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Comunardo Casale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontelagoscuro AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Comunardo Casale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabio Palmucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ettore De Laurentiis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amedeo Fiorentino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Giannico hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Bruno Piscopo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Fabio Palmucci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ettore De Laurentiis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ciro Pennetta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-1 became the score in the 89th minute when Comunardo Casale elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Alvise Fallito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore De Laurentiis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvise Fallito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 97 minutes, Fabio Palmucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pieve Vecchia 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Palmucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pieve Vecchia 's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
