After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Cristoforo Maccarone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ortì's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristoforo Maccarone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Rubini was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Cassignanica AFC's Donato Rubini made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Russi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Ortì booed when Cassignanica AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Rubini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristoforo Maccarone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Maurizi having to interfere. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 87th minute of the match Emiliano Fallito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eugenio Russi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Cassignanica AFC's Biagio Maurizi got control of the ball when Cristoforo Maccarone tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristoforo Maccarone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Emanuele Castagna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Ortì supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ortì would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
