The tension between the Longiano FC and the Cassignanica AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Longiano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Concetto Nobile to maneuver through the defense. Dave Colantoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Rubini in the 19th minute of play. Emanuele Castagna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute Donato Rubini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Colantoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Longiano FC's zone, Emanuele Castagna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Colantoni came out of the goal and Emanuele Castagna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With splendid footwork Donato Rubini arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 40th minute. In the 44th minute, Flavio Ballerini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 48th minute, Emanuele Castagna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Cassignanica AFC's Biagio Maurizi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Ballerini in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Flavio Ballerini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Longiano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Ballerini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Flavio Ballerini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Biagio Maurizi was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute Donato Rubini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Colantoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cassignanica AFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Donato Rubini hit a great ball. 66 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Longiano FC's Ennio Bencivenni fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Donato Rubini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, Longiano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Vinciguerra to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Ballerini in the 83rd minute of play forced Cassignanica AFC's goalkeeper Biagio Maurizi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Ballerini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Longiano FC booed when Cassignanica AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Sartori didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Longiano FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cassignanica AFC:s goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cassignanica AFC had won after a very even match.
