Franco Alfani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristoforo Busillo went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bruno Potenza struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Ernesto Albertosi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ramera FC. If Fabio Tristezza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Candia FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Albertosi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Dennis Biscotti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristoforo Busillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Franco Alfani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ramera FC's zone, Dennis Biscotti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Alfani came out of the goal and Dennis Biscotti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ciccio Russo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Russo in the 30th minute of play forced Candia FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Albertosi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberigo Ritacco kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Fabio Tristezza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ernesto Albertosi made a huge save. Ciccio Russo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Albertosi having to interfere. Fabio Tristezza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Pomponio's late challenge caught a Ramera FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Pomponio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Candia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Pomponio to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes Ramera FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Scannella. Cristoforo Busillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Franco Alfani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Ritacco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dennis Biscotti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristoforo Busillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Franco Alfani made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Fabio Tristezza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramera FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Tristezza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Albertosi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernesto Albertosi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Tristezza, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Candia FC's Fausto Pomponio got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Fausto Pomponio off the ground. After a rather tough play, Candia FC's Fausto Pomponio got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Tristezza in the 93rd minute of play forced Candia FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Albertosi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Albertosi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciccio Russo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
