Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dennis Biscotti got the match started through his kick off. Candia FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Ciccio Righi scored to the left of an out of position Ernesto Albertosi, making the score, 1-0. Ernesto Albertosi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenico Ubriaco in the 16th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tipano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! After some careless play in the Tipano defense, Dario Romanese kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonello Zappacosta. The Tipano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonello Zappacosta should have stopped the shot. Candia FC's Ernesto Albertosi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Ubriaco in the 23rd minute of play. Alberigo Ritacco hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Cristoforo Busillo scored 1-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonello Zappacosta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Candia FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Fausto Pomponio hit a great ball. Dennis Biscotti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Antonello Zappacosta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tipano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Candia FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domenico Ubriaco was the one to do the kick off. If Cristoforo Busillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Domenico Ubriaco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Albertosi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domenico Ubriaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Albertosi having to interfere. Ciccio Righi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Candia FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Beppe Di Ianni hit a great ball. Ernesto Albertosi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciccio Righi's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Antonio Di Pietrantonio's late challenge caught a Candia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Di Pietrantonio helped the player get up and apologised. Antonio Di Pietrantonio hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Antonello Zappacosta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Biscotti in the 78th minute of the match. Ciccio Righi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ernesto Albertosi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenico Ubriaco in the 88th minute of play forced Candia FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Albertosi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Ercole Troiani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tipano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Candia FC the free kick. The supporters of Candia FC booed when Tipano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercole Troiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Candia FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
