When Ferruccio Di Marino fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taccona's protests and gave Ferruccio Di Marino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, one of Taccona:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taccona. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Alfani in the 10th minute of play forced Campomorone AFC's goalkeeper Fortunato Muzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Taccona's Camillo Bruno got control of the ball when Fausto Arioli tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Davide Furino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taccona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campomorone AFC the free kick. With his leg Camillo Bruno managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Campomorone AFC's Fausto Arioli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 16th minute Frank Egidi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Bruno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Pavlu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Frank Egidi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Camillo Bruno came out and tried to block the shot, but Frank Egidi slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. The supporters of Campomorone AFC booed when Taccona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippo Fantasia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Campomorone AFC's Alvise Doris tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 37thth minute of the game Alexander Santovito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Campomorone AFC's Fortunato Muzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Taccona booed when Campomorone AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonello Giacomini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Emanuele Walcher shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fortunato Muzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Campomorone AFC's Frank Egidi got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Taccona's goalkeeper Camillo Bruno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amos Palmucci. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Egidi made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Concetto Alfani fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Concetto Alfani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessio Falone kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Emanuele Walcher sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fortunato Muzi skillfully saved the ball. Fausto Arioli kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Taccona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Frank Egidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Frank Egidi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Filippo Fantasia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fausto Arioli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Bruno having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Amos Palmucci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camillo Bruno. Taccona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amos Palmucci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Campomorone AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
