Fabrizio Toppi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Domenico Bani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Toppi having to interfere. Emilio Baruffa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Toppi having to interfere. Fabrizio Toppi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Baruffa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Capalle AFC booed when Patti AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Baruffa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Biagio Vida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Bulla in the 28th minute of the match. Dave Amadei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Biagio Vida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Amadei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Vida having to interfere. Emilio Baruffa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Fabrizio Toppi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Bulla might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Biagio Vida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Bulla ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 39th minute, Dave Amadei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capalle AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, Capalle AFC's Anfilogino Fava got a free kick in the 46th minute. If Emilio Baruffa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domenico Bani to make the kick off. Fausto Bulla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Biagio Vida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Bulla in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Biagio Vida saved Patti AFC from getting behind. Ennio Cesareo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes, Capalle AFC's Alexander Valerio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Biagio Vida came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Capalle AFC reached it. Fabrizio Toppi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenico Bani in the 59th minute of play. Dave Amadei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Vida having to interfere. Florian Scevola kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Patti AFC's zone, Dave Amadei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Biagio Vida came out of the goal and Dave Amadei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Bulla might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Biagio Vida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Bulla ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd match minute, Patti AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrico Palladino to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Bulla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Biagio Vida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Fausto Bulla sped through Patti AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Biagio Vida. Alexander Valerio kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
