Claudio Melucci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Puglielli might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Comunardo Pelliccia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dennis Puglielli ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristiano Festuccia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 10th minute, Claudio Melucci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, Fausto De Bettin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bufalotta's Cristiano Festuccia got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dennis Puglielli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Comunardo Pelliccia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Festuccia in the 23rd minute of play forced Marghera FC's goalkeeper Comunardo Pelliccia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Concetto Rosi charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Concetto Rosi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claudio Melucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Cusumano having to interfere. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bufalotta's goalkeeper Fulvio Cusumano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Marghera FC's goalkeeper Comunardo Pelliccia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dennis Puglielli. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Cristiano Festuccia took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Comunardo Pelliccia to make any attempt to save it. Concetto Rosi kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Claudio Melucci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulvio Cusumano was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. If Claudio Melucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dennis Puglielli made a kick off. Claudio Melucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Fulvio Cusumano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute Dennis Puglielli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Pelliccia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulvio Cusumano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amedeo Giorgi in the 55th minute. If Fulvio Corelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Dennis Puglielli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bufalotta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Bufalotta's Fulvio Cusumano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Melucci in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 65 minutes, Fausto De Bettin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marghera FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto De Bettin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bufalotta's Fulvio Corelli got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The long shot by Franco Causio in the 73rd minute really tested Fulvio Cusumano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Amedeo Giorgi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 76th playminute. Amedeo Giorgi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Cusumano having to interfere. If Claudio Melucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amedeo Giorgi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Fulvio Cusumano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Marghera FC's Claudio Melucci slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fulvio Cusumano. That made the score 2-2 after 83 minutes of play. Fulvio Cusumano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 2-3. Cristiano Festuccia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Comunardo Pelliccia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Marghera FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
