Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristiano Di Franco took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristiano Di Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Pelliccia having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Claudio Melucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marghera FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Melucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th match minute, Marghera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto De Bettin to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute of the match Alfonso Fantasia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Comunardo Pelliccia skillfully saved the ball. If Francesco Montaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francesco Montaldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Comunardo Pelliccia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 minutes of play, Biancanigo's Francesco Montaldi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Comunardo Pelliccia was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Claudio Melucci put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Antonello Burgnich. Francesco Montaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Pelliccia having to interfere. Biancanigo's Antonello Burgnich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Prandini in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Biancanigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermanno Peca to maneuver through the defense. Franco Causio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Fabiano Cipollini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Biancanigo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marghera FC the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, Biancanigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Cipollini to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Melucci got free with Antonello Burgnich in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Fabiano Cipollini was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. The supporters of Marghera FC booed when Biancanigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Cipollini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudio Melucci was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Claudio Melucci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonello Burgnich was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 69th minute Claudio Melucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonello Burgnich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Di Franco hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The supporters of Biancanigo booed when Marghera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Prandini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Comunardo Pelliccia made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Cristiano Di Franco sent off a good shot on target. Francesco Montaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Pelliccia having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Fausto De Bettin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Marghera FC's zone, Alfonso Fantasia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Comunardo Pelliccia came out of the goal and Alfonso Fantasia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the game, Alfredo Ciarrocchi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marghera FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Biancanigo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Marghera FC's Alfredo Ciarrocchi got a free kick in the 87th minute.
