Ponterotto's Claudio Crosta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Spiazzi in the 7th minute of play. Claudio Crosta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Spiazzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudio Crosta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippo Spiazzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 11th match minute, Ponterotto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Attilio Palladino to maneuver through the defense. If Achille Talone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Camillo Palmisano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Crosta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Filippo Spiazzi sped through Ponterotto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudio Crosta. 39 minutes into the match, Dorgagnano AFC's Filippo Spiazzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Crosta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Camillo Palmisano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corrado Cagnetta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 47thth minute of the game Filippo Spiazzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ponterotto's Claudio Crosta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Dorgagnano AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filippo Spiazzi to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Eugenio Picozzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dorgagnano AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Picozzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Crosta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorgagnano AFC's Filippo Spiazzi got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aldo Alati in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claudio Crosta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aldo Alati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Crosta having to interfere. Aldo Alati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Claudio Crosta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edoardo Bernardini's late challenge caught a Ponterotto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edoardo Bernardini helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Dorgagnano AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ponterotto:s goal. Achille Talone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Ponterotto's Achille Talone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corrado Cagnetta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Camillo Palmisano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camillo Palmisano in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corrado Cagnetta saved Dorgagnano AFC from getting behind. Corrado Cagnetta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Talone, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ponterotto's zone, Aldo Alati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Crosta came out of the goal and Aldo Alati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudio Crosta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Spiazzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes Dorgagnano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Barducci. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dorgagnano AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
