The Villaricca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute Carmine Mei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmine Di Gennaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carmine Mei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ettore Pittelli made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Armin Milanese sent off a good shot on target. When Armin Milanese came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Pionca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armin Milanese couldn't finish the play. If Armin Milanese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Bonsignore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Pittelli having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Biagio Tiberio had to leave the field with a concussion. When Florian Vaiani fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pionca FC's protests and gave Florian Vaiani a yellow card for diving instead. Amos Tacco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. The supporters of Pionca FC booed when Villaricca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Dossena didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmine Mei got free with Carmine Di Gennaro in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
