If Fabiano Farese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermanno Pensa got in the 9th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Franco Chiola handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Ermanno Pensa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mancasale FC's Franco Chiola. Franco Chiola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Corrado Bellone fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mancasale FC's protests and gave Corrado Bellone a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mancasale FC's Corrado Bellone got a free kick in the 30th minute. Fausto Vasco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Franco Chiola. Mancasale FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ernesto De Amicis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Franco Chiola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto De Amicis in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franco Chiola saved Mancasale FC from getting behind. If Ermanno Pensa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlo Labate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ercole Ciccone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carlo Labate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 minutes of play, Mancasale FC's Fabiano Farese made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ercole Ciccone was left in no man's land by his defense there! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto De Amicis made a kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mancasale FC's goalkeeper Franco Chiola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ermanno Pensa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Chiola having to interfere. Ermanno Pensa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Fabiano Farese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Fortunato Barone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Mancasale FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Corrado Bellone hit a great ball. If Ermanno Pensa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Chiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto De Amicis, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Franco Chiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto De Amicis in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Ermanno Pensa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Carlo Labate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mancasale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo Labate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fecchio's zone, Dennis Ferraresi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ercole Ciccone came out of the goal and Dennis Ferraresi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlo Labate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ercole Ciccone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Fecchio got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Improta. With a little luck, Fecchio's Ercole Ciccone got control of the ball when Carlo Labate tried to sneak it across the goal line.
